I painted both of these at the same time using high quality Acrylic paints to get the base down and then oils for the finishing touches. I really am partial to oils but I also find that acrylics are wonderful to work with as well.

Be well…..

Every afternoon the “boukadoura” breeze sweeps in from the open sea blowing the heat away and filling sails…. Have a beautiful day…

This was painted on site at Glasti harbor on the eastern side of Ammouliani. Summertime brings many new boats to the harbor but this one has been here since I arrived on the island 20 years ago.

Be well….

A small summer home tucked away from the stress of city life. Here you wake up to the fragrance of dew on dry earth and the song of the leaves fluttering from their branches… and the soft glow of the Aegean sun…

Have a beautiful day…

One of the most impressive sights are the Greek Orthodox monasteries. Around Mt. Athos you see monasteries built up from the rocks. Stone by stone they reach upward to their cells without any modern conveniences such as electricity. This painting was inspired by the monasteries around Mt. Athos, which is very near to where I live.

Be well…..
