In my present state of mind I can only think of the peppers I’ve been planting in our new organic garden… digging in the earth for so many days makes me feel a million miles away from the computer world.  I have no real words of interest to say today and so I won’t force any on you.  Like horses (and all creatures who instinctively live in the present moment) I cannot be in two places at the same time.  My senses are still swirling with scents of wet earth, tomato mixed with a slight smell of iodio from the sea.  The hard plastic of this computer feels foreign underneath my fingertips as they quickly got used to the feel of dirt and weeds and living things….

Indeed… I feel far away from this place….

It is spring and the forces of Nature are so strong nothing can resist renewal. All of my onions in the basket have sprouted, my garlic too… it is dipping into youth again….. becoming green once more.

In Greek we call them “barbounofasola”. I haven’t got a clue what they’re called in English, but I do know how delicious they are cooked in olive oil, onion, fresh tomato and parsley. It’s not a soupy dish either like the sister white bean used for “fasolada”. Barbouni beans are eaten with a fork on a plate.

The roses are in full bloom now. These were painted from our veranda that overlooks the Aegean Sea.  I am one of those types that you’ll  often find with my nose stuffed into aromatic flowers lost in the deepest kind of aroma-therapy.  Imagine adding aroma with the rapture of painting???  It has been an awesome day…. my cup runneth over….  so if you feel inclined, let me offer you a good dose of this over-flowing feeling of joy I have today.  Go on… you deserve it…. we all deserve it.

Every time we go to ride horses we pass by this field. The stone hut is probably used to store things needed to work the field. It looks abandoned by human intervention and now the poppies are everywhere….
