Oil on Canvas

40 x 50cm

When you’re hot you’re hot. Luckily I had another canvas ready and paint left over on my palette so I went at it again… and then again.

I like the red boat theme and have decided to do a series on them. In the meantime I also finished another painting in the wild red-head nude series I’m putting together. Just a few more touches and I’ll put it up tomorrow.

Be well…

I usually paint in bright colors. Today I am in a more subtle mood and decided to limit my palette to cobalt blue, raw umber, white and scarlet lake. No brushes either… palette knife and only one at that. I love what happened and how the mood I was looking for just happened. No struggles with this one which tells me it was the right move on my part…. that I needed to move in this direction at this point in my life.

Hope you enjoy this one as much as I do!
